Now the timber framed cupola, which is well over 100 years old, can be seen getting clad with code 5 British Milled Lead sheet to the astragals, crown rafter, upstand flashings and gables. The restored timber framed cupola has now been returned to site, refixed to the upstand kerb and is now getting the lead flashings fitted. KM Roofing Edinburgh, last week were proud sponsors of Raymond Anderson who ran the Hoka Highland Fling an arduous and gruelling 53 mile run from Milngavie to Tyndrum over the West Highland Way. The run was in aid of the Family Of Lost Friends Charity which was setup by Raymond 3 years ago to help the friends and families of Oxgangs in Edinburgh where a parent had sadly lost their life leaving young children without a parent. Family of lost Friends helps children in many ways, things like helping out the local community put a Defibrillator into the Area, helping fund another local charity SureStart which helps kids from the age of 0-3yrs, we also help fund the Kids Christmas Party at the local Pub the Good Companions and we have our annual Charity Fun Day at the Steading Bar and Restaurant who give us the run of their Beer Garden and conservatory. KM Roofing believe charity starts at home and feel its is important to support a local worthy charity and cause whilst also supporting Raymond with a personal achievement.

After the cupola has been removed, the upstand kerb is being raised with treated timber to accommodate new 120mm insulation boards.
