KM Roofing Edinburgh, after awaiting delivery from manufacturers are now installing a double glazed polycarbonate roof light with uPVC upstand. The upstand kerb was securely fastened to the flat roof deck and all upstands and flashings were installed by our roofers with Polyglass Polyshield high performance green mineral felt. The interior was finished by our joiners  with plasterboard and timber mouldings ready for decorating. Roofers Edinburgh, Flatroof, Cupola Replacement

A traditional timber framed cupola skylight being replace in Morningside, Edinburgh, by KM Roofing. The glass was replaced with Georgian wire glass and the astragals were leaded along with the crown rafter. The flat roof was insulated and finished with Polyglass Polyshield AA fire rated green mineral felt with a 20 year warranty. All materials supplied by Polyglass UK.

KM Roofing Edinburgh replacing the timber roof deck of a nursery school in Clermiston, Edinburgh.The original roof decking had completely perished and has been renewed with 18mm OSB 3 treated structural timber.

A 4layer Polyglass Polyshield roof system with 100mm insulation was installed with AA fire rating and 20 year warranty.

KM Roofing Edinburgh flat roof specialists Here are some photos taken of a recent flat roofing project by our flat roofers ;

This very low pitch tiled roof  to a rear extension in South Edinburgh was leaking badly. The solution was to change to a flat roof to suit the low pitch, and in this case using red mineral felt to match the concrete tiles on the main roof of the house. The Velux  windows were also raised to a suitable pitch and the correct flashing kits fitted. Years of persistent water ingress caused the timber roof deck to perish and this was also replaced. The roof is now watertight and carries a 20 year guarantee as with all of KM Roofing Edinburgh’s domestic flat roofing installations. This was a fairly complicated roofing project as only a certain amount of the roof could be worked on at one time, allowing the Velux windows to be raised, new roof deck replaced and keeping the property watertight during particularly bad weather – which only added to the challenge! KM Roofing Edinburgh are members of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors- NFRC and Flat Roofing Alliance (FRA).
